UCAP has partnered with Teach for Ukraine to fund a Summer Academy for 150 children in Bila Tserkva, located in the Kyiv region of Ukraine. The two-week program, held in July 2024, provided much-needed emotional and social support for children and equipped them with coping mechanisms to manage stress and trauma. Additionally, the academy offered catch-up classes to help mitigate the learning gaps among students caused by war-related disruptions.
The program was instrumental in creating a safe and supportive environment where children could heal, thrive, and regain their enthusiasm for learning. UCAP funding helped cover instructor fees, learning kits, and facility expenses.
