PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Ukraine Children’s Action Project (UCAP) is proud to support UCulture, a program dedicated to preserving and promoting Ukrainian culture and history. At a time when Ukraine’s identity is under threat, this initiative helps young people stay connected to their heritage, fostering resilience, unity, and democratic values. Through engaging educational programs and multimedia content, UCulture deepens young Ukrainians’ understanding of their history and traditions.
The program has recently been accredited on the Ukrainian Online School platform, leading to an expanded and more accessible lecture format that enhances student learning and engagement. Over 50 online lectures are being developed to provide students with a comprehensive and immersive exploration of Ukrainian culture and history. By equipping young people with cultural knowledge, UCulture strengthens their national pride and reinforces the core values of freedom and democracy.
Examples of UCulture courses:
This video lecture above explores how Ukrainian visual and performing arts have served as enduring expressions of national identity, resilience and democratic values, tracing the journey from historical struggles to contemporary cultural renewal.
“Scriptorium” – PDF : Scriptorium Game is an educational board game set in a medieval monastery, where players become scribes trapped in a mysterious scriptorium. Competing to collect ancient artifacts, they uncover fragments of history and culture while learning about Ukrainian heritage through strategy, storytelling, and discovery.
