Renovation and furnishing of new Kids Club in Lviv, Ukraine

The Ukraine Children’s Action Project (UCAP) has funded the successful renovation and furnishing of a new Kids Club in Lviv, Ukraine. This project is a crucial response to the needs of children displaced by the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine, providing them with a safe, nurturing environment to learn, grow, and play.

Situated on the outskirts of Lviv, the Kids Club has breathed new life into a previously vacant building, transforming it into a vibrant, welcoming space for children aged 5 to 18. The renovation process was comprehensive, creating multiple classrooms and activity areas tailored to support educational enrichment, creative development, and psychological well-being. The center now offers a diverse range of programs, including school preparation, Ukrainian language and literature, mathematics, history, English, and university admissions preparation. The facility also boasts a dedicated room for sports, psychological therapy, and athletic activities. The Kids Club is not just a place for learning but also a hub for creativity and recreation, featuring an art studio that offers courses in painting, drawing, and art history.

Since opening in November 2023, the Kids Club has become a vital community hub. More than 500 children participate in various clubs and activities, with 350 attending regularly. The club is inclusive, serving children from diverse backgrounds, including those with IDP status, children of combatants, orphans, and those from low-income or single-parent families.
