This family participated in a 6-day Recovery Camp designed to help children who face mental health challenges as a result of the war. The program provides children and their mothers with psycho-emotional rehabilitation by mental health professionals and recreational counselors. Children are engaged in play therapy, art therapy, music, games, and yoga. Over 1/3 of children who attend these camps are identified as having symptoms of PTSD and are referred to psychologists for follow-up services.
“Our stay at the camp with the children left extremely pleasant impressions. From the first day, we felt the warm and hospitable atmosphere that prevailed everywhere. The camp staff is attentive, caring, and professional, creating a feeling of complete safety and comfort.
Children could participate in various activities covering all areas of interest – from sports games to creative workshops. Every day was full of events that brought joy and benefits for development. We discovered new hobbies together, the children found friends, and I had the opportunity to reboot
The food was also excellent – varied, tasty and most importantly – healthy, which is very important for children.
Separately, I would like to note the attention to detail and care for each of us. We not only rested body and soul but also received many positive emotions that will stay with us for a long time.
It was an ideal place for a family holiday, where we spent time fun, usefully, and in harmony. Without a doubt, we want to come back to you again.” – Tetiana, Bakhmut, Ukraine
