Stop the Bleed

In our communication last month, we expressed deep concern about the growing needs of Ukraine’s children and families suffering in a war that seems endless. And we also shared our concern about the abrupt, irrational elimination of humanitarian aid to Ukraine under the auspices of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

After three years of the worst fighting in Europe since the end of World War II, it is important to understand that this violence has been taking a terrible on Ukraine’s children, the most vulnerable civilians in this – or any – war.

We are thinking about our December visit to Ukraine, especially recalling the children and families we met with and the in-person meetings with the Ukrainians who make sure that UCAP’s projects are sustained and accountable.
