As shown below, Marian Zablotsky, a deputy from the presidential party Servant of the People, on behalf of the Ukrainian Parliament, extends gratitude to Ukraine Children’s Action Network cofounders Karen Redlener and Irwin Redlener for their recent delivery of school buses to the war-torn region of Chernihiv.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
In March 2023, UCAP purchased and refurbished six school buses and donated them to the city of Chernihiv, Ukraine. Most working vehicles were stolen or destroyed by Russians, leaving children no mode of transportation to school. Local Ukrainian volunteers Vlad Orlov and Kety Ravluk led the successful delivery of the buses as the caravan traveled nearly 800km from Medyka, Poland.
