On the morning of July 8, Kyiv time, as part of a massive intensification of Russian attacks on civilian targets throughout Ukraine, the country’s largest children’s cancer hospital was directly hit by a Russian missile.
The attack killed or injured scores of medical staff, parents & children. UCAP is committed to providing emergency assistance to the survivors of this attack and helping rebuild essential hospital services.

August 2024 Update: Kyiv Children’s Hospital received a replacement intensive care unit ventilator from UCAP’s emergency response.
“The device is indispensable for a hospital and vital when transporting small patients with respiratory deficiency for manipulation or examination. Thanks to the mobility and convenience of the device, doctors can transport the smallest patients without interruptions and complications, without stopping the oxygen supply,” says the anesthesiologist of the department of intensive and efferential therapy of acute intoxication Eugenia Victorivna Rokhwarg. “We thank UCAP for their trust and support, and the doctors for saving children’s lives”
