Repairing Schools Damaged by Missile Strikes

In late December 2023, a series of drone and missile strikes severely damaged the Oriana Lyceum Public School campus in Lviv, Ukraine, where more than 1,200 children are enrolled. Responding to an urgent appeal, UCAP aided in the swift recovery efforts for the impacted elementary, middle, and high schools, including helping to rebuild the computer lab and replacing other equipment destroyed in the attack.

On February 15, Lviv was attacked again by Russian missiles, and we were notified by our partners that one of the missiles heavily damaged another school. UCAP was able to quickly send funds to restore the STEM laboratory, which included buying an electronic whiteboard and the necessary equipment: сollection of rocks and minerals, laboratory scales, laboratory kit for geometric and wave optics, barometers, and curvy meters needed by the students.
