LATEST UPDATES:
Building on the success of last year, the Ridni Center organized a summer camp in June 2025 for 19 children aged 6 to 16 from vulnerable backgrounds, including children displaced from Donetsk and Luhansk and those without parental care. The camp took place in the scenic Carpathian village of Oriavchyk and was centered on the theme of “Courage,” encouraging children to recognize their own strength and act with bravery in their daily lives.
Each day began with energizing morning routines and continued with a mix of structured and unstructured activities that fostered connection and learning. The program included group discussions on emotions, communication, and self-discipline, along with football and air hockey tournaments, creative painting workshops, and mountain hikes with songs and team chants. Evenings featured karaoke, dance parties, and campfire reflections, creating a joyful and supportive environment throughout the week.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
In the summer of 2024, with UCAP’s support, the Ridni Center for Social Support of Children and Families organized a new camp for vulnerable children in Lviv, Ukraine. The camp’s program includes cultural education on Ukraine’s rich history, allowing children to meet young leaders and gain inspiration from their nation’s past. Additionally, the camp incorporates a mental health component with group and individual sessions, providing support and assistance to children who have lost their parents in combat zones or experienced other traumas.
