Through a Mother’s Eyes: Alina

This family participated in a 6-day Recovery Camp designed to help children who face mental health challenges as a result of the war. The program provides children and their mothers with psycho-emotional rehabilitation by mental health professionals and recreational counselors. Children are engaged in play therapy, art therapy, music, games, and yoga. Over 1/3 of children who attend these camps are identified as having symptoms of PTSD and are referred to psychologists for follow-up services.

In the blink of an eye, our incredible vacation came to an end. We are so grateful to the entire Recovery Camp team for the unforgettable experiences and the enormous boost of positivity they brought to all of us. This was exactly the reset that mothers and children needed! The superb organization, cheerful animators, professional team of psychologists, and the warm company of other parents and children filled our lives with incredibly bright and cheerful memories. Thank you to the entire team for providing us with such an essential and refreshing breath of fresh air! Wishing for peaceful skies! – Alina
