Trauma-Informed Learning (EdEra Course)

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Basics of Psychosocial Support: How Teachers Can Work with Children Who Have Experienced Traumatic Events” online course was developed by the Ukraine Children’s Action Project (UCAP) and the National Center for Disaster Preparedness at Columbia University, in collaboration with the Ukrainian edtech company EdEra. The program is designed to equip Ukrainian educators and caregivers with practical knowledge and skills in applying a trauma-informed approach to learning, helping children who have experienced traumatic events.


This accessible, self-paced course introduces participants to the fundamentals of trauma, effective strategies for trauma-informed teaching, and best practices for communication with parents, guardians, and other adults in a child’s life. It also includes additional materials and activities to reinforce learning.
